クレイグです。今年の夏のスコットランド旅行の続きです。

On my first day back, I went for a walk around the village and checked out the local community garden.

初日は、散歩しながら、地元のコミュニティーガーデンを見に行きました。

They have lots of events there and many families have little allotments where they grow vegetables and fruits.

そこには、最近いろいろなイベントを開催し、たくさんの家庭が、野菜と果物を育て家庭菜園として使っているらしいです。

If there is any left over, they often leave vegetables or fruit out that people can take for free!

I found a healthy-looking courgette or zukini (American English).

野菜や果物が余った場合、ガーデンの真ん中にあるテーブルに乗せる人もいるので、たまに無料で野菜や果物をもらえます。

今回私は立派なズッキーニをいただきました。

After that, I went for lunch at well-known place near St.Andrews called the Balgove larder (https://www.balgove.com/).

その後、実家に近いセイント・アンドリュースという有名な街の近くにあるお店に行きました。お店の名前はバルゴーブ・ラーダーです。地元でよく知られ大好評です。

It’s a nice little restaurant, a butcher and a farm shop where you can produce and locally produced foods.

素敵なレストランや、肉屋さん、地元の食べ物販売しているショップを楽しむことができます。

I had a soup and a sandwich in the café and then relaxed back at home.

今回私はカフェでスープとサンドイッチをいただきました。その後、家に帰りのんびりしました。
