During our baseball lesson, students had to look at the box score of a game.

In small groups they used this information to then create a possible game recap.
グループでこの情報をみて、試合の流れのレポートを作成しました。
Here is an example of their work:

“Nothing happened until the sixth inning. But the Phillies got on the board first with two doubles.
After that, the Phillies hit a single but they couldn’t get any points.
However, in the bottom of the sixth the Phillies allowed a runner to reach base on an error and the next batter hit a home run to turn the tables.
From there, the tide continued to turn in their favor and they added two more runs on three more hits.
The Astros got hits in the 7th and 8th innings but failed to score. Then the Astros won the game 4-1.”
「6回まで何も起こりませんでした。しかし、フィリーズが2つの二塁打で先制点を挙げました。
その後、フィリーズはシングルヒットを打ちましたが、得点することはできませんでした。
