Basic English IIIの授業ではプレゼンに向けた準備方法を学び、英語でのプレゼンに挑戦します。
This is a class for our Second-year students. They gave their five-minute presentations.
Topics included “Who invented the lightbulb?” and “Is Pluto still a planet?” Each student chose their own topic, did independent research, and decided what they thought was most important to share. Some focused on key inventors and timelines, while for the students that chose the other topic, they explored scientific debates and changing definitions.
We worked on how to give a strong opening—using surprising facts, historical context, or rhetorical questions. Students also practiced how to transition smoothly between ideas and how to end with a clear, confident conclusion.
It was great to see them apply the presentation tips we learned last semester and speak with confidence. We’ll keep building these skills throughout the semester!
