レストランで使える英語表現

ジャレット先生のBasic EnglishⅡの授業では、レストランでの注文時に使える英語表現を学びました。

Hello! Jarrett here with another update on our classes.

Basic English II

This is a class for our First-year students. They had a speaking test focused on ordering food at restaurants. They practiced being both the customer and the employee, switching roles to use a wide range of vocabulary and expressions.

As customers, students had to ask about the menu, choose dishes, and make special requests for getting something toasted or having extra meat. They practiced being clear and polite when ordering, and used phrases like “I’ll have…” and “Could I get…?”

As employees, students took orders, answered questions about the food, and made recommendations. They had to confirm details like the meal size, the price, and whether it was for takeout or dine-in.

This test gave students a chance to use English in a practical, real-world setting. They performed very well, showing confidence, fluency, and great listening skills. We’ll continue building these communication skills throughout the semester.
