履正社医療スポーツ専門学校、スポーツ外国語学科のクレイグです。

この学科で行っている授業について皆さんに知ってもらいたいので、今日から僕もブログの投稿をしていきたいと思います。ぜひ読んでください。

第一回目はTOEICの授業についてです。

We had a double TOEIC session this morning where we looked at reading and listening

questions.  We are aiming for a class average score of 600 this term and the students

seem really motivated.  To help the students get more confidence and use their time

well in the real test, we are doing mini-tests in class and then talking about the answers

in detail.

We discovered a lot of new business English words like “quarter（四半期）”,

“stake (利害関係)” and “recruits (採用者)” in the lesson today.  The word “recruit” was

especially interesting because all of the students are familiar with it because of

リクルートbut they didn’t know what it meant.

The student’s knowledge of English is really improving and they’re starting to understand

the different parts of speech and how they link together in English.

It’s always good to see them succeed and have eureka moments.

I hope we can keep this momentum going and smash our target!
