The second semester finally started. First

lesson ‘Physical English’.

In this lesson, we looked at the kinds of

things that you would expect to see and

hear in the changing room of professional

players.

We have all seen sports movies before,

and the ever-present changing room scene

where the coach will give some amazing

speech, then the players go out and win.

But how much of that is actually true?

In this lesson, we look at that in detail by

watching real recordings of players in the

changing room.

We then took notes on what we heard and

thought of other ways to express those

feelings.

The students also added some of their own

original phrases. The students then had

about 10-15 mins to plan a role-play scene

of their own and act it out.
