I’ve decided to do a little series about Japanese idioms.

日本語の四字熟語についていくつかのブログを書きたいと思います。

I enjoy 4字熟語 because they usually describe a very specific situation or state in only four letters.

四字熟語で具体的な状況や状態を簡単に言えるので、とても興味を持っています。

Turning them into simple English can be really difficult!

しかし、英語に訳すことが大変難しい時も結構あります！

Perfect.  Something that is flawless.

【例文】

完全無欠のヒーローだと思っていたのに、意外とドジだと判明した。

I thought they were the perfect hero, but he they turned out to be surprisingly clumsy.
