We had a great session today where we learned some interesting phrases you can use when you compete and challenge people.

The students and I watched a video with a professional golfer and a golf research robot competing to see who can hit the most balls in to washing machines on a driving range.

Some of the students favourite phrases were “You’ve got to be kidding me!” “You got lucky!” “You up for that?” and “Give it a go.”

The best thing about these phrases is that we can use them in a variety of everyday situations.

今日も楽しい授業ができました。競うときに使う表現を学びました。

生徒たちと一緒に、プロゴルフ選手とゴルフ研究所のロボットが、打ちっぱなしでボールを一番たくさん洗濯機に入れるのは誰かという動画を見ました。

生徒たちの気に入った表現は　”マジで“　（You’ve got to be kidding me!）、 “そんなのまぐれだ！”（You got lucky!）、何かを提案したり誘いの時に使う　(You up for that?)、そして　“やってみる”　(Give it a go) というフレーズです。

こういう表現の一番良いところは日常生活にも使えることですね。
